UT Dallas has developed a suite of interactive reports based on the data available publicly from the Texas Comptroller’s Historically Underutilized Business Reporting website. These reports allow state agencies or institutions of higher education to view their HUB spend across the last four years, compare themselves to peers, and drill into detail regarding vendor use. Common questions that these reports answer are:

  • How has my agency’s spend changed over the last four years?
  • How does my agency compare within a peer group?
  • What agencies are using a particular vendor?
  • What vendors does a peer agency use?

UT Dallas does not charge for access to these reports, though a license for Power BI is required. If you would like access, please contact Leigh Hausman (lhausman@utdallas.edu). A unique link will be sent to you.

Report Description
Disclosure Statement Opens in a new tab. The federal government requires educational institutions that receive significant federal funding to disclose their cost accounting practices by completing a disclosure statement, referred to as the DS-2. The DS-2 document contains basic policies and procedures about UTD’s accounting practices regarding direct and indirect costs, service center charges, and employee benefits as they pertain to federal sponsored projects. Employees who are or might be involved in creating federal proposals, budgets and authorizing expenditures of federal funds must be familiar with the policies and procedures described in this document and summarized in the enclosed DS-2 Fact Sheet.
